Even a responsible driver can have a bad day. That’s why our insurer created the Responsible Driver Guarantee. It’s their guarantee that you won’t be penalized on your insurance after your first at-fault accident.*

Here’s how it works:

• Your first at-fault accident is treated as if it never happened. Our insurer guarantees you will keep your good driving record as long as you are insured with them.
• Had a second at-fault accident? Our insurer will treat it as if it were your first.

How to get it:

To qualify for the Responsible Driver Guarantee, all drivers must be continuously licensed and accident-free for six years in Canada or the USA.

For ongoing protection, the Responsible Driver Guarantee must be purchased every year.

*Our insurer guarantees not to increase your premium as a direct result of your first at-fault accident. Your premium is affected by many factors including, for example, if you’ve bought a different vehicle for your business or moved. Our insurer may also adjust its rates from time to time. This coverage is only available for single autos, not fleets.
